At Sarah and Heidi's home boarding, we offer a highly recommended pet service for your dog to join our family including our 3 golden retrievers.  Located in the quiet and peaceful village of Buckminster, we are conveniently located just off the A1, close to Grantham and Stamford and we are a short drive from the Rutland and Leicestershire borders.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, long dog walks, and woodlands, our dog-friendly cottage provides  :

• 2 large secure gardens with dog hot/cold shower and paddling pool

• Adjacent exercise paddock to run and play

• Comfy fresh beds (although you are free to bring your own if you prefer)

• CCTV, secure fencing, and locked gates​

• Individual security collar for each dog

Experienced and Professional Dog Boarding :

Having grown up loving and caring for dogs, I have over 20 years of professional dog care experience in all shapes and sizes.  I am fully trained in canine first aid and dog behavior/welfare best practices.  I appreciate every dog and dog owner has his / her own specific routine and we try as much as possible to maintain this during their visit allowing them to settle and relax as soon as possible.

 

Meet and Greet Playdate :

Before coming to stay, we invite you and your dog to a playdate (and cup of tea!) at a time to suit you.   We like to introduce your dog to ours and decide together if they will be compatible for a long time board.

We do not have dog kennels or isolated areas so all dogs boarding or visiting for daycare need to get on well in the same space.  During the 'meet and greet', although very relaxed, we take time to observe both your and my own dog's initial reactions to each other to ensure all dogs will be happy and content spending time together.  Once both parties are happy, we can confirm your booking and you can be safe in the knowledge that your furry friend will be truly spoilt and happy.

As an extra safety measure, your dog will be given a security collar upon arrival with our mobile number and address clearly printed on it.

What you need to provide:

• Food

• Medication if necessary 

• Their own bed if you prefer - if your dog is a little anxious this is usually comforting

• Boarding form

• Copy of up-to-date vaccination/kennel cough/flea and worm treatments

Whether home boarding or visiting for doggy daycare, I do request that you bring a copy of your up-to-date pet's vaccinations, your vet's information, and a copy of any insurance documents for your dog. Vaccinations now need to include Kennel Cough due to new boarding regulations.

Please note:

There is a Home Boarding Reservation Fee of £100 / dog due at the time of booking + full balance due 7 days prior to arrival.  6 weeks notice is required for cancellation of a booking, otherwise, full boarding fees will apply.
